About Genesis

The Initiative.

In the midst of the Haiti earthquake, we have taken the initiative to organize an exhibition and sale where the profits will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (Registered Charity No: 1062638). The exhibition will be taking place from the 7th to the 11th of April, and will involve the work of emerging international artists working in different disciplines.

Our project aims at aiding in the reconstruction of Haiti, and helping the people who are suffering the consequences of the earthquake. The reconstruction of a country, city or town is a long process, so we must not desist our help. From London, we are doing all we can to help with what we love to do, Art. Genesis: Art for Haiti not only aims at collecting funds from the auction, but also to raise awareness on Haiti’s situation and future disasters that might occur in other regions.

The Gift Exchange.

The auction will work as a Gift exchange. The highest bidder for a particular artwork will be donating directly to the DEC. In exchange, he will be receiving the artwork as a gift from the artist. Fun, simple and transparent.
